    Hi Team,

Firstly, very excited to be on board with the team at the PLO MASTERMIND! I was pleasantly surprised to find after completing the first week of the 10-Week PLO Transformation Course that the course emcompasses far more than just PLO knowledge, there are aspects and rules that @JNandez has touched on and implemented that apply to all things in life, these steps (and I know you know what I’m referring to) can be applied in any career or hobby and would nearly always guarantee success if executed correctly. It truly was a breath of fresh air as I went through each video and found all this compelling and inspiring content when initially all I was expecting was a bucket load of information pertaining to the game of PLO. Very excited to continue my journey through the 10-Week course and the rest the site has to offer. Thank you @JNandez and crew for going above and beyond when it comes to your delivery of this fine product and service.

I’m TDiddy (name changed to protect the innocent). I’m married (not really but may as well be), a father of 3 and have had a strong passion for poker (starting with NLH) that spans back to my first pub game roughly 5 years ago. I have large upswings followed by large downswings, I’m up overall life time but not by a whole lot, I struggle heavily with BRM and while it’s something I’m ohhh so aware of i guess I’ve never been in a position where it’s really mattered that much. I have the opportunity now following a large upswing on the tables, a redundancy package due to covid and savings where as I’m in a comfortable enough position to give this a solid crack as a profession. I want to give myself every opportunity for success hence why I have turned to the professionals. To give you an idea of how dedicated to this I really am, I’ve been told by the man, myth and legend himself that I need to attend the live stream which due the time difference occurs at 4am, it’s going to be a challenge but I intend to attend. So wish me luck on my journey and I’ll endeavour to keep you all posted on my progress.

Vision “I have gained financial freedom through playing the game that I love and I now have the freedom to do what I want when I want”

Purpose “I stay focused everyday on training, studying, family, well being and working, so that I can provide a comfortable life for those close to me and so that I can continue to learn and grow day after day and improve myself in every aspect of live. My passion and drive lies in helping and improving not only myself but also those around me.”

    Milestones

Earning a minimum of $1,000 per week in profit over 10 consecutive weeks

Earning a minimum of $1,500 per week in profit over 10 consecutive weeks

Earning a minimum of $2,000 per week in profit over 10 consecutive weeks

(I’ll add more but at this stage that’s all I have)

    Hey @T-Diddy

Welcome on board the PLO Mastermind, great to have you apart of it!

Glad to hear that you’re enjoying the 10 week transformation so far and have been able to make the connection that a lot of the things discussed can be applied to so many things in life not just poker!

Sorry to hear about you losing your job due to COVID, but looks like you’re motivated and looking forward to giving poker a shot so lets make this work!

I wish you the best of luck and look forward to following along with your journey!

Thanks for the acknowledgment @adelaney , I’ll keep motoring through and keep you up to date. I posted a question in the forum yesterday as well. I might tag you in the hope you can shed some light.

    Thanks again mate!

Hey TDiddy, welcome to the PLO Mastermind community! Glad to have you on board.

I really appreciate your kind words about the content of the 10-week transformation!

Looking over your milestones, I want to stress the importance of goal setting correctly. Here are a few things to look after

    1) Set goals you can control and achieve.

    2) Focus on implementing processes not on reaching a specific destination / point of career.

    3) Describe your plan of action with great detail, so you know how you will be able to achieve your goals.

So given that, I would focus a lot more on which processes will lead you to become finically better of or free while playing poker. Recommended goals

    1) I will play 5 days a week poker for 5 hours a day for 30 days

    2) I will study 10 hours a week for 30 days

    3) I will go to the gym x many times in 30 days

    4) I will go to bed and focus on quality sleep for the next 30 days

If you set your process oriented goals right and achieve them, you will also achieve your long-term goals of having success in poker.

    Cheers,

    JN

That is awesome advice @JNandez thank you so much!

All the goals you’ve set I acknowledge as correct and I would like to implement them with one minor change. Based on your feedback in the play to study ratio section of the 10 week transformation course, I now understand the importance of study and how it can (when done correctly) improve your game far more efficiently and cost effectively than playing the game alone ever will.

I would like to reach the following milestones:

      1) I will play 5 days per week of poker for 2.5 hours per day for 30 days

      2) I will study 2.5 hours per day for 30 days

      3) I will go to the gym 5 days per week for a minimum of 45 minutes per day for 30 days

      4) I will go to bed and focus on quality sleep (6 hours minimum per night) for the next 30 days

      5) My study to play ratio will be 50/50 without exception on any given day for the next 30 days
