Small Edges
Hello! Since we left the old forum to the new one, I’ll start fresh.
I have been playing poker for over 15 years. As much as I would like to think I was serious about it back then I never did it profitablly. Bascially I was a fish. I started playing PLO back in 2011 and was instanly hooked. At this time I was an unemployed student so getting 50 dls to deposit on a poker site was very difficult. I started at the lowest limits and slowly moved up. First at the 2 dls tables, then the 5s and the 10s, to eventually have enough money and ability to play PLO25. Years passed with many busted bankrolls and redeposits. Eventually by the year 2014 I was lucky enough to chop a 30K player entry NLHE tournament. This gave me enough money and false confidence to move up in stakes to PLO100 and PLO200 and stay there for a long time as a losing regular player. After playing around 300K hands I gave up on poker and moved on with my life.
After not playing poker for a long time, Twitch started blowing up, and also with it, the Poker streams. I watched Shuller do both his challenges on stream and learned a lot from them. Then Fernando started streaming and I joined the mastermind soon after to give poker one last shot. It took me about two years to really soak up all the knowledge from it.
I had tried to blog my 2020 results in the older forum. I did a poor job at it. I had commited myself to playing 100K hands a month on Zoom which was a terrible idea since the atteniable winrates are very low. None the less, I tried, eventually realizing that playing regular tables was much more profitable so I switched. I played a mix of both for most for the year and had good results but I didn’t play as much as I had planned. So for 2021 I’m figuring out how much I can push myself on terms of playing everyday without losing my mind in the process. I am planning to play 70 hours a week 12 tables at a time.
