Hello, Imsofakinghappy. This really isn’t my kind of thing and I’ve wanted to hit ‘Cancel’ about a dozen times or so since typing this sentence but I suppose I need to branch out a bit and it was an Aciton Plan within a lesson so f*ck it.
I learned how to play poker while deployed to Iraq. While there I won a tourney my 7th time ever playing poker, and have played off and on since that time. I’m currently in the medical field and just finished taking (and hopefully passed) the final test I need to for the next couple of years, so I believe I’m at a point now in my training where I can study poker on a more consistent basis.
Vision Statement:
-I’m a part-time poker player who has reached the plateau Daniel Dvoress alluded to in the 1st episode of the Mindset Advantage podcast. I enjoy consistent, yearly success both live and online that I attribute to my continued study of the game combined with the appreciation of the journey and the continued effort put towards mastering myself.
Purpose Statement:
-To master poker is to master myself. May the two never be wholly attained yet let the drive remain.
Milestones:
-Consistent, yearly win rate upon completion of PLO Mastermind
-Regular at PLO 500 tables
-10,000 hours studying and playing PLO
