    Hi everyone.

I’m 33 years old engineer from (deleted the country for legal reasons). Last years of my college I was grinding NLH micro stakes, having fun and earning some pocket money for myself. But when college was ended, thinking seriously about being pro and play poker for living, things have changed. It wasn’t fun anymore, after couple downswings I couldn’t handle the pressure and decided 9-5 job is better for me. After started working and have a stable income, did’t have a passion to improve myself in another area so became distant from poker in time.

After 10 years, in my country economy and currency is high time low and having an income from other currencies (usd eur etc.) is more important than ever, so I decided to give another try having a poker career 5 months ago. Played NLH couple weeks until my old poker friend who became a pro adviced me to move PLO and start over.

In this period I played nearly 100k hands plo20 and 60, had slight profit (my graph shows slight lose but I played my first 20k hands without HUD and was about +1k) before rakeback, btw I got lucky two times, earned total 11k from jackpot.

In this period I studied from free sources but it was not very productive because I didn’t have a path, didn’t know what to do and how to study, just watching videos about subjects I was curious about. And when you don’t have a path it is very difficult to put time on studying. A lot of times I couldn’t quit playing (especially bad sessions, and most of the time that made the session even worse, being tired and on tilt), playing until I am exhausted and don’t have more energy and motivation to study. That’s why I am in PLO Mastermind. I want to dedicate especially first couple months to study more than playing, improving my game and mental game. Now I am on week 3 of 10 Week Transformation, at the same time wathching videos from Crushing Small Stakes series.

Btw maybe it looks irrelevant for some of you but 6 years ago, I started working out regularly and after 2 years I became Powerlifter, started competing in national and international events, earned medals and broke national record in bench press. I experienced on first hand, consistency is the most important thing to improve, and if you can imrove %1 everyday, you won’t believe what you can achieve in couple years. I want to implement that mentality in my poker career.

    My Vision

I am a full time poker player who is playing midstakes online and travel playing live events, having freedom to being his own boss.

    My Purpose

I want to have a financial freedom for myself and my family, not to worry about future and economy in my country, losing job etc.

Have an opportunity to travel wherever and whenever I want, earning through playing poker at the same time.

    Milestones

Study more than play until I finish PLO transformation and Crushing small stakes courses at least.

Read both Mental Game of Poker books, learn when to quit, don’t waste time, energy and life quality on tilt.

    Get very strong mentally

Crush Plo60-100 a good winrate over 100-150k hands

Reach enough bankroll to take shots higher limits(not counting jackpot, I need to prove myself by building bankroll with my winrates)

Go first holiday with my wife through poker winnings

Have first live session when travelling

Quit job an become a full time pro

Learn other game types and have a great understanding about this game.

    Hey @humuntaz

Welcome to the PLO Mastermind it’s great to have you apart of the community 🙂

Congrats on the two jackpot wins that’s sick and definitely a huge boost to the bankroll 😀

The experience in improving elsewhere as you did in powerlifting is definitely relevant, as you said it’s all about improving 1% every day no matter the field, but already experiencing that dedication and determination is going to benefit you massively when it comes to poker as well!

How have you been finding the 10-Week Transformation and Crushing Small Stakes PLO so far?

I wish you the best of luck with your milestones and look forward to seeing you achieve them!

    Ash

Thank you for the response and good wishes. Courses have started great, can’t wait the postflop section. And in 10 Week Transformation first videos of first two weeks “The Road Ahead of You” and “Dark Forces Holding You Back” videos were very motivational and inspirational.
