Hello everyone. My name is Adam and I am 36 years old and live in North Carolina. Decided to join PLO Mastermind to help me learn PLO. After grinding NLH cash games and tournaments for 10 years or so the game has become stale. While NLH tournaments will always be profitable, it is my opinion that over the next few years PLO will increase in popularity and I hope to stay ahead of the curb. Also, I am in long term recovery from drugs and alcohol and find that many of the things I learn in recovery are applicable to poker and vice versa. It is my intention to be 100% open and honest on this blog and for it to be a safe place for all to discuss poker, life, addiction and mental health issues both pertaining to poker as well as life!

Vision: Studying and play PLO cash games both online and through occasional travel while managing tilt to cover my nut while enjoying all of the freedom that poker has to offer.

Purpose: To play and study poker in order to: provide my daughters with a comfortable life, support my household, allow myself time off whenever needed for mental or physical health and the freedom to do this from anywhere.

    Milestones:

    Pay rent from poker winnings

Pay child support from poker winnings

Finance a vacation from poker winnings

30 minutes of exercise a day

Life Roll: 1 month, 3 month, 6 month and 12 month (in the bank)

Complete one week of the 10 week training course every week. ( 2 weeks the first week)

Gain a working knowledge of PLO starting ranges and how those change based on action and position.

Spend at least 30 minute a day talking with someone only about them and what is going on in their life, with nothing being said about myself unless asked, and then keeping it brief.

Do one thing a week minimum for someone else and not tell a soul about it. (This will change your life if you haven’t done with before)

Try to eliminate as much self loathing and doubt in and towards myself after loosing session and poor decisions.

Those should be enough milestones to keep me engaged for a bit. I welcome everyone’s comments and criticism and look forward to engaging with you all. Thank you for your time reading this:)
