    Hey there,

I am David, 44 years old and I play Poker since I was a child. I went through the Gold-digging decades of the Game. I loved playing all my life, Billard, Backgammon and Soccer most, but the only chance to become Pro was Limit- and No-Limit Holdem.

It was a lot more fun back then. People where spewing money around and looking for action daily. Back in the 90´s and 2000´s there was barely roll-models or theory available. It all came down to less than ten good books.

The Sessions where crazy and everyone who managed to get access to some valuable information was far ahead of the field. It was the time when Autodidacts where able to find out all the interesting stuff that is served today by many coaches and websites.

Poker Players don´t get much recognition by their environment. If you struggle nowadays, imagine how it was back then. All my friends, my family and of course girls I dated where in deep doubt of what I did. It overwhelmed me.

Printing money daily was hard to handle, I failed, fortunately not completely. Even though I won a huge amount over the years I spent most of it decompensating. I decided to give up any attempt to live conventionally and instead ride the fast lane. About 2010 I grew up and changed some bad habits.

I used to play Holdem Cash Games and tournaments. Now it´s time to learn PLO. I decided to join the competition, even though I am older than the average player and it takes more effort to learn.

In the next week I will write about my first steps, my Vision, Purpose, Milestones and Progress.

    Thanks for stepping by

Sounds interesting! So what motivated you to get back into the game? Are you looking for just a neat side income or to go pro somewhere in the future?

I played Poker all the way. Now there´s alot more Value in PLO than in Holdem. After the first Shut-down in Germany I had access to very juicy Games. Since my favourite Casino for Holdem did not open the Poker Area yet I want to become good enough at PLO to make a living out of it.

    Plan for this week:

I clearly have leaks in my Mental Game. So I will listen to TMGP I&II again and take notes. The accumulated tilt concept was new to me. I want to take a closer look at the resolutions and become more familiar with building my own Vision.

Alslo I want to finish week two of the 10 week transformation and head into week three.

I planned to put in 4×30 minutes in Theory each day and practice a little online. Since I feel highly motivated it´s more right now. But I will take a day off on Thursday for sure.

Also this week I am scheduling the rest of this year.

    Thank you for stepping by

    Hey Dave,

Welcome to the PLO Mastermind and the community, great to have you apart of it!

Great to see that even after being in the game for many years you’re as eager as anyone else to continue to learn and transition into new games.

Will you be playing mostly online or live (post the world getting back to some normalcy) if online what sites do you plan to play on?

Best of luck and look forward to following your transition.

    Ash

    Hey Ash,

thanks, I am excited to be a part of the PLO Mastermind and I enjoy the content very much. Not only that it is super valuable, I also recognize that you put so much effort into the construction.

My plan is to study one year on a daily basis and I play as well online and Live Poker. At the moment I am grinding on GG Poker Micros in order to get a decent understanding of GTO and fix my leaks. I only play one or two times the week at the moment, just enough to get some reliable data.

Until the end of January I want to continue concentrating on Theory and then move over to play more and move up in Stakes.

    Thank you for stepping by
