I’ve just recently started playing again after a long hiatus. It seems I always come back to poker, but now I’ve decided to make the commitment I know it will take to make it work.

My vision is having control over how I spend my time, and being joyful in my life. Poker is one of the few things that can hold my interest, while the complexity of Omaha in particular, brings out the best in me and makes me feel like I’m living my life on purpose. A big milestone will be doing well enough to quit my job. Ultimately I look forward to having time to pursue things that have nothing to do with making money.

I bet the pot on the flop, and player to my left called. I went all in on the turn and they called. Maybe my small stack made him think he could afford it. It didn’t look like a good call to me.
