I am not sure if playing online is legal in TN. Some sites say that it is legal to play online in TN if the site is hosted and operated by foreign entity.

Can you tell me good sites where I could play?

When you withdraw your Poker winnings, do you receive a Form 1099-Misc from these sites for tax purpose? Will I be in trouble when filing tax returns with winnings from this site as gambling is illegal in TN.

I am all confused based on information out there and need a personal opinion (possible from someone in TN who has files taxes before)

I want to improve my PLO but not playing online seems like detrimental to my progress.

    Hey @harjitsingh ,

All large American-oriented poker sites are accepting players from Tennessee. Options are Ignition, Americas Cardroom, BetOnline and a smaller network, called Intertops.

What stakes are you looking to play and how important is the use of a database and HUD for you, and the level of competition?

Feel free to shoot me a message on Discord @TomSmeets#5554 to have a chat to find your best site option. I don’t have any know-how about your tax situation. Maybe a fellow American can help you answer this question or someone from Tennessee eventually.. Thank you

      Hi @TomSmeets#5554

      Thanks for the reply.

I see that on Ignition, the fee is so high for deposits. Is there a site with no fee for deposits.

HUD are important to me. I want to see my improvements over time and I want to see the stats for the other players are well while playing as shown in LaunchPad videos.

I am new to PLO so I do not want to play against lot of pros and I guess at my stakes pros will not be there anywaz. 🙂

In NLHM, I am an action player and have decent success following that approach. But PLO is a different game and I want to understand the phycology of different players while taking note of mistakes and how to exploit those.

      Thanks again for the reply.

        Hey,

Depositing with crypto is free of charge I see. Is that an option for you or what’s your preferred method? In case you’re interested in starting with Bitcoin to use as payment option let me know, I can help.

On Ignition the games are anonymous so you can use a HUD but you’re not building a dataset on opponents. Which HUD or database are you using? Both on BetOnline and Americas Cardroom you’re able to use Hold’em Manager 3 or Poker Tracker 4, although you need to buy a converter to make it work on BetOnline. What do you think?

          Thank you Tom

I am not a big fan of crypto, but I will keep this option in mind.

          Thanks Again

I am thinking of creating an account on Global Poker. Will I be able to download HUD stats from there. I am not using any HUD stats software right now (pretty new to all this). But will start using it if I get the option for the sites I would be playing on.

The site is using a loophole in current law to play legally from anywhere in USA.

          Thanks
