Welcome to my Progress Log. My name is Peter. I started playing poker in 2016 and quickly found PLO to be more exciting than NLHE, so I went with it fully, when I heard many say, that it would be more profitable in the years ahead caused by the lack of knowledge in the playing fields.
Fastforward to present time, I have since been involved with Jnandez in two periods before, but didn’t have the possibility to make poker part of my income because of lack of time. I almost haven’t played the last two years. Now, my working life has changed, so that I have more time for poker.
Before, I wanted to be a pro to escape the traditional working forces, but I’m not sure anymore. I need some security in my life, so that I can play more freely, at least for the time being. So right now, I am happy to work part time and study The Great Game at the same time. I can see it change in the future, but then poker will still not be my only source of income. I want poker to be a part of my life as a fun, exciting and profitable hobby. As in every other aspect of life, I will enjoy it more being skilled at it.
My vision is as follows:
– I am a skilled PLO player earning a substantial part of my income playing online and sometimes live in local casinos or abroad, when I travel, and at the same time having great fun studying and playing the game
– I am a winning player at PLO400 by 8bb/100, at the least
– I live abroad with my family in a country which has a lower buying power than my home country, Denmark, thereby lowering the daily cost of living, having an even more solid economy and being able to enjoy our hobbies even more
– My family is economically independent
Thanks for reading. I will make regular posts along the way. Right now I am following the 10 Week PLO Transformation, week 1. I am really happy to see, that it focuses so much on the right fundamentals in life, not only in poker strategy.

Hey Peter,
Glad to have you back apart of the community and heard that your working life has adapted allowing you the time to pursue poker being a bigger part of your life.
What stakes are you currently playing or planning to play?
Have any ideas on countries that you would like to live in with your family or have you not thought that far ahead just yet?
I look forward to following along with your progress log and hearing how things are going.

I play micros. When I stopped two years ago, I played PLO25 and was breaking even just about. The concepts I could grasp, but it’s not easy to implement it all when playing. I think the PLO Trainer will be a gamechanger for me.
Thinking about southern Europe mostly. My wife has been living in Portugal, but it could also be Russia, since it’s my wife’s origin. We both love Asia too, but I can’t see myself living there.

So, nearing the ending of week one of the 10 week transformation. I need to make a bit of a journal for myself, I feel, and why not in here.
I have followed the instructions and recommendations. The Jared Tendler books arrived yesterday, and I completed the second chapter of the first book this evening. I am really grateful, that this has come to me, since the mental side has always been my Achilles heel in most things.
I will try to play a bit this weekend to start getting some handhistory in the rucksack bit by bit. No goals than to get playing again and to build a portfolio to analyze on. Pokerstars today because of the easiest setup right now.

Played one longer and two minor sessions this weekend. Getting into it again. Great to play again.

Well, when I was at it last time, I tried many sites and was not very systematic about it. I started out playing NLHM with no realisation of all the different deals. So, I’m not sure, that I’m eligible for any of them now.
