Hello everyone,
i am Philipp, a 32 year old guy from Germany, some of you might know me as “RaZorFaZoR” from the tables 😉 First of all i really love the idea of the progress log and the related accountability….so lets get this going 😉
I am professionaI NLH Online Tournament Professional since the start of 2019, doing what I love for a living. Through poker I am not only learning for poker but learning for Life and continously striving to become the best version of myself. I sure know I made tons of huge costly ChipEV, $EV and LifeEV mistakes on the way,….oh boy, sometimes one can be so humanly stupid…but most of the times, I learned from it. I managed to establish myself as a 60$ ish ABI NLH pro, having a high 5 figure bankroll…and that under german regulation and taxation. I picked up Omaha about 1 to 1.5 years ago and made over 15k profit with Omaha tournaments in 2023 integrated into my normal schedule. Recently I started to get more and more into Omaha Cash Games. I am proud of myself. Especially cause I did all of this while Marrying the love of my Life and creating a Life with her.
And this where the next chapter starts: I am gonna be dad in roughly one week.
Its crazy. So many emotions related to the upcoming birth of my daughter…luckily mainly it is joy and anticipation. But ofc, there are also fears, concerns and insecurities. Some related to Poker, some not. And those feelings rightfully so come with an increased sense of responsibility but also pressure. Not even talking about stuff like the sheer amount of time you spend with your growing newborn. But I dont want to only survive in this new situation…I want to thrive, as a new situation always provides you with a chance.
A chance to step back and look at what you are doing more holistic. A chance to reevaluate your old system and improve not only strategy. A chance to learn a lot in different areas of life, even if it means failing in between. A chance to become a great Omaha Tournament player and an Omaha Cashgame regular.
This is why I am here. As my love for Omaha grew I starting trying out cashgame and recently I felt the huge upside in the flexibility cash game play can provide while my daily routine will change a lot. So why not start the 10 week transformation in my panretal leave, where I am not grinding 4-5 times a week but can surely fit in some study and cash game hours?!
Well, i think this enough for the start, lets get on with the vision 😉
Vision: I provide for my family through my job and passion poker. I am still a regular in NLH Tournaments but a lot of my volumen shifted over to Omaha Tournaments and cash game sessions.
Purpose: I am a responsible father and husband. I put in the work to be the best version of myself on and off the table with poker as my catalyst. I am growing every day by a tiny bit while generally maintaining a sustainable work life balance. I am grateful for everything poker and Life has given me. I am happy.
Milestones:
– Become a father
– establish a constant winrate of over 7bb/100 at PLO 200
– Finishing the 10 week transformation
– Finishing all relevant material in the PLO Mastermind
– Having a 6 figure Year
– Play a big Live Omaha Tournament
– Buy property, optimally a house for my family or at least as investment
– teach my daughter poker (if she wants to )

Hey congrats! I’m in the same boat as you. I’m a single father of twin boys. Living now far away from the casino, if I’m going thrive and not just survive, I have to successfully crush online PLO cash games. Unfortunately despite studying tons of hours and grinding 400K+ hands, I still cannot beat the game. I”m now looking to form a study group/alliance to hold ourselves accountable but also see with a fresh set of eyes, different perspectives of the game. Update:
Parenthood is beautiful and hard – I became a father and now the goal is to get better in it and integrate Poker into my family live after my parental leave.
As ACR left the german market, and was one of the sites, I have a new tactical goal to make an account and play on a new site
Mile stone Update:
– Become a father – CHECK!
– Integrate Poker into new Family Life with my newborn
– Find a new, attractive PLO cash game site (mb CoinPoker)
