Paul, 48, Actor from the UK. Have been playing recreational NLHE at low stakes for twenty years online (although I did take a break of 6/7 years). Have fallen hook line and sinker for PLO and simply want to improve. Im taking a couple of years out from my profession and so I will dedicate as much of my time as possible to studying, small steps, laying the foundations and not running before I can walk. I will study all concepts deeply and eliminate my fear of the things that have always held my poker back (mathematical/statistical concepts; terminology etc.).

I want simply to become the best player that its possible for me to be. I want to find a level that suits me at low-stakes and become a winning player. I then want to move up a staking level, become comfortable at that level through working hard and start beating that too. This may not sound like I`m shooting for the moon but it would feel like a huge thing for me. I will be aiming to continually train and develop as the game advances and will look to use my success at PLO to supplement my income when I return to acting work.

My milestones are – to complete the ten week course; to start playing low stakes (PLO 50) and continue until I become a consistently winning player; move up to PLO 100 and grind my way to gain confidence and understanding of that level until I become a winning player here too. A big milestone would simply be to win enough each month to meet my rent. And, of course, one day – Vegas Baby!!

    Hey Paul,

Apologies I missed your progress log.

It’s great to have you apart of the PLO Mastermind and the community 🙂

Best of luck with your milestones and get you to that level of crushing PLO 100!

As you said small steps, no need to shoot for the moon right away!

Keep up the good work and if you ever have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out.

    Have a good weekend,

    Ash
