First blog entry, are blogs still a thing btw? 🙂
Hi,
I’m a french guy living in Brussels, Belgium. I’ve been playing poker for a while now, starting my online journey in 2007 and as far as I remember I’ve always played with cards. 🙂
I can say I’m a winning player BUT if I had to look back at my hourly rate I would drop everything. 🙂 I was never able to achieve anything in poker because of a lack of work, a great propension to Tilt and a way too big gambler mindset…I’ve always played with money I had, never put anything at risk and won’t start to do it. But overall I’ve had great times, Vegas, home games, online winnings and I still have a true passion for the game!
I’ve always played some PLO but I decided to focus over the last months because I think it fits with who I am.
I’ve a decent corporate job that allows me not to worry about end of month but even if I don’t hate it, I can easily say I’ve no passion for it.
I’m not trying to become a pro player (well this has always been a dream and I think it’s good to be a dreamer), I’m 40, I’ve got a wife (she knows how to play and that’s great) and 2 kids but I think it’s time for me to give a try at a more serious and dedicated approach.
I’m playing PLO25, I could play higher but I want to beat micros even if it’s not the most profitable way of doing things. I want to end up saying: ‘I’m proud of my game and my mindset”.
I want to stick to a plan and stop thinking short term (hello me tracking my results during the session…).
If I can move up stakes during the process that would be great, playing PLO100 would already be an achievement but I’m not in a rush, I’m ready to take this step by step
That’s my I registered to the PLO Mastermind and I’m following the 10 weeks program.
Writing a blog entry….it feels like I’m 18 again 🙂 🙂 🙂
