GGPoker has become one of the dominant forces among modern top poker sites. For players who want to play PLO online in large, active pools, it competes directly with PokerStars — but the internal structure is meaningfully different.

Here is a rundown of the main tactical characteristics of the site, you can click on any term to jump to its respective section. This GGPoker review covers its rise and unique features.

Pros

Cons

GGPoker offers Omaha Hi on regular tables as well as their fast-fold format called Rush&Cash. In April 2021, the 5-card PLO format was introduced, and in October 2024 6-card PLO, on top of the regular 4-card PLO game.

If you like to get a better understanding of particular features on GGPoker we recommend having a look at our GGPoker Explained article.

Restricted Countries & Segregated Pools

GGPoker’s main real-money client is not available to players in the United States. Germany operates under separate regulatory conditions, and has a different rake structure, for example. Ontario (Canada) has its own ring-fenced market.

Most other international players join a shared global pool, though access may depend on local regulations.

Reliability

The Good Game Network launched in 2014 and in the past few years they’ve expanded into one of the market leaders. Their strategy consists of many innovations that focus on increasing the enjoyment of playing online poker and other card games as well as by putting a lot of emphasis on the recreational player.

GGPoker collaborates with the World Series of Poker and during the pandemic has been hosting the annual WSOP, which usually takes place in Las Vegas, and the ‘WSOP Super Circuit Online Series’.

The GGTeam consists of ambassadors like Fedor Holz, Elky, Kevin Martin, and Daniel Negreanu, as well as multiple streamers and social influencers.

Welcome Bonus

Receive $100 in rewards or a 100% match deposit bonus up to $600.

GGPoker offers a 100% First Deposit Bonus up to $600. There’s a clearance rate of 25%, so you need to rake $2,400 in order to clear the full bonus. You’ll have 90 days to clear the full bonus.

If you’re playing micro stakes, it’s more valuable to choose the $100 in free tickets. Here’s how the $100 welcome package looks like:

Rake Structure

In this table you find the rake structure for regular (4/5/6-card) Pot Limit Omaha cash games tables.

For Rush&Cash, GGPoker’s fast-fold format, rake comes down to 5% per pot with a 3 Big Blinds cap across all stakes. This comes down to around 15 or 16bb per 100 hands.

At regular cash game tables, rake comes down to:

GGPoker does not offer the lowest rake in the world, and once PVI adjustments are considered, it is rarely the lowest online poker rake option for consistent winners. But, there are a lot of other perks that are ultimately adding up to your win rate.

Rakeback

GGPoker’s rakeback system is called Ocean Rewards, which is influenced by the Player Value Index (PVI) model. PVI is a method to balance rakeback between pros and recreational players. Regulars are marked after a while and this lowers their PVI and therefore net rakeback. For a more thorough explanation on PVI, check out this article.

On January 30, 2026, the Fish Buffet rakeback system was replaced by Ocean Rewards. Players earn Tide Points and move up in rank to earn bigger rewards and GEMs at a higher pace. GEMs can be exchanged in the GEM store for cash rewards at any point in time.

Database/HUD Support

GGPoker does not allow any third party tools or external HUDs. They’re offering a built-in smart HUDsmart HUD which offers the most basic stats, like VPIP and PFR.

In order to track results or being able to analyze opponents, hand histories can be downloaded via PokerCraft. Once downloaded, you can import them into your favorite database.

Traffic & Ecosystem Depth

Liquidity is massive. Omaha games run across stakes daily, and tournament fields are large and international.

Among the best PLO poker sites, GGPoker ranks near the top in raw activity and tournament scale. For PLO specialists it’s definitely an interesting option, as very few sites offer full 4/5/6-card Pot Limit Omaha coverage at scale. This is a clear strength of GGPoker compared to other online poker sites.

One of the greatest strengths and pull factors of the site is the combination of soft competition and traffic around the clock. You can log in at any time of the day in whatever time zone you’re playing from and find multiple tables of action.

Benefits

There are multiple ways in which GGPoker is giving back money that should be taken into account. Grinders can earn a decent amount in the daily leaderboards for all particular PLO formats, or a separate Rush&Cash leaderboard.

Losing with an insanely strong hand can actually earn big by triggering the Bad Beat Jackpot. In PLO, lose with Quads or better and you’ll get compensated a nice amount.

Lastly, GGPoker gives back via a daily $100k flipout. You can earn chips to participate in this Flipout by either receiving a bad beat (GGCare), ór win a big pot (with a big hand, GGCheers). That way you’re automatically taking part in the Flipout and can earn additional money if you’re lucky.

Final Verdict

GGPoker in 2026

With traffic around the clock, offering soft games in combination with a more than decent reward system, GGPoker is a great place to play online poker.

For recreational players due to the fun experience and rewards in general, and for regulars because of the relatively soft level of competition, many rewards and access to juicy games 24/7. The higher rake at mid/high-stakes is a drawback, but for serious players at stakes PLO100 and lower, GGPoker is a top choice.

Expanding Your Repertoire

In Hold’em, every note is familiar, and mastery comes from perfecting a well-understood form. You’ve trained your ear, your hand, your instincts. You know the keys.

But PLO? That’s jazz. It’s wilder. The chords are richer, the improvisation deeper. You still need the fundamentals, but now you’re playing in a world with more combinations, more chaos, and more opportunity for brilliance.

As you embrace the complexity, you start hearing the music differently. You realize the chaos has a rhythm of its own. And once you find it, the freedom is intoxicating.

You’re not abandoning the piano — you are experiencing a natural evolution of your journey, building on your skills by embracing a new style.
