JAN PHILIPPI

In 2006, while I was already studying psychology, I became self-employed as a professional poker player. Even though my poker career was quite successful, I wasn’t happy with my life. I couldn’t enjoy the financial and temporal freedom that poker was supposed to offer me.

In 2010, I came across mindfulness through a podcast and soon began to deal intensively with coaching and personality development.

My studies in psychology at the University of Vienna were the perfect complement. Since then, my life has changed positively step by step.

I’m currently a psychology graduate and trainer for the Salzberg Mindfulness Model and Mindfulness in Organizations.

In my work, whether with individuals, in startups or large corporations, I find that we do not lack knowledge, tools or strategies, but a lack of the ability to implement them in stressful and unpredictable everyday life.

That is why the solutions are psychological.

Professional success and private satisfaction are not competitors. Productivity, focus, creativity, serenity, and joy all contribute to a healthy balance. What makes us better players, employees, and managers also makes sus better people, and vice versa.

Based on my background and work, I have a good understanding of what makes employees and players productive and satisfied and how to make their goals a reality.
