It seems so stupid to ask these question, whatever, I don’t care….

Is it always a good idea to go for all your chips, assuming you have 100 BB or a little more, when you discover you have 50-60% equity ?

It’s not about to be result oriented about my poor results, but I would know if you want to save 30bb, when you know pretty well what is the good card for vilain, or if you want to flip for your equity ?

I’m a noob low llmit player, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

If you’re playing against a maniac or someone who gets it in light, anything above 50% equity and definitely 60%, I wouldn’t have a problem with it. Deep against a tight player and a scary board, I’m not so sure I’d be as willing to risk it. A big pot at any SPR is fine if you have the nut str8 with redraws, the overfull, top set for the nuts or the nut flush / dominating draw.

In an alternative situation, if you were at SPR 4 or below and had top two pair, bare nut straight, middle or bottom set, the underfull, the overfull or undertrips – get it in.
