Played an interesting hand in a 1k bounty. Villain is very capable and competent. What do you guys think about this line? At lower stakes or against other opponents, we probably don’t have fold equity on the turn vs raise, but here it’s apparently different.

I can also see turn x/call or even x/raise as a possibility.

I wouldn’t go for a checkraise here – 38bbs I think we won’t get the money in super happy with no backup other than the BDFD and esp. without the 6 we open ourselves to losing the pot on later streets by checkraising on bad runouts. I would keep my checkraising range polarized to pair+backroorflushdraws or pair+gutters and nutted hands as we want to have a clear gameplan OOP with quite high SPR being a limped pot and treat this hand as a medium strenght hand going for 2 bets bet-bet or bet-check-bet depending on the runouts. villain realized this is a bad card for you and probably bluffed with some 4x blocking AA4x which you probably don’t play this way anyway so that

Thanks for your feedback. I agree with not check raising the flop, after your analysis. The SPR seems to high, to a point where only more playable hands for turn/river transitions should be considered. If the SPR would be smaller, so we can shove turn, I think check/raising is fine.

I like betting flop, as check/calling is leaving too much value on the table. Pair + SD hands can call, that might check behind.

    Thanks Smiley
