Flopping bottom set OOP 3way

I noticed checking my stats that I am betting too much oop. I am wondering if leading the flop here is perhaps sub-optimal. Maybe I should check-call and wait for a turn that shifts the equity more in my favor, and not build a pot out of position and leave myself with some potentially tricky decisions. Thoughts?

Hi Haggispittjr,
I’ll give it a try 🙂 I think in theory u should check flop, given the fact that the runouts for your hand aren’t great. U unblock spades and/or there is a great chance a straight card will roll off. In game I think your line is rather player dependent. If your opponents are loose passive, your line was quite good. If button is crazy maniac-ish, I wouldn’t mind to c/r 3/4 and get it in vs him. Hoping that the co wouldn’t come over the top ofc. It’s good to figure how stabhappy your opponents are and what the equity distribution for your hand is (in theory) vs the coldcall range from co and bu.
