Yue’s Journal

    Hey Guys

Just wanted to start a blog to motivate me to start working on my game. I have been feeling really lazy these days so I think that starting a journal in the forum here is much better than writing a journal on my own as there are people watching you and I feel bad if I don’t do what I said I was going to do.

So I will list what I am doing every day in terms of study and playing and try not to skip any day. (Yes I have nothing to do in my life right now other than improve my game and start earning some money)

Okay, so I finally did some productive work after watching so much anime.

Today I studied about 3 hours on RFIs and vs RFIs and a lot of 3Betting and 4Betting.

And I finally finish a long session without going tilt. I usually just play a few hands and if I made one mistake I don’t play for the day. But I notice that I lose so much practise by doing that, so I would rather practise controlling my tilt instead of escaping.

I try to play very few tables(3/4 reg) to keep my focus at the maximum, I get stressed easily when playing too many tables and can’t think carefully about my decisions. Plus I have so many spots that I need to mark and later review the hands.

Today I played for about 4 hours and although I lost 3BI I’m quite happy that I finally start doing some work.

Hopefully, I will continue as consistency is key, so see you tomorrow.

I’m going to learn some coding before my sleep.

Today I woke up quite late so my routine didn’t go that smooth.

But I manage to study 3.6hr of study. Today I mostly trained on flop play COvBU and watch a bunch of study streams videos, it was fun. So no a lot of intense studying.

The session went quite rough, played for about 1.6hr, and lost most of the flips. The good thing is that I didn’t leave because I was tilted or something. I had to eat dinner lol. And just didn’t feel like playing for the day.

Tomorrow I will be studying waaay more, I just noticed that postflop got a lot to learn so I will put a ton of work into that. Maybe 5hr study and 2.5hr for playing.

    See you tomorrow.

Okay, so it was actually hard to study that much lol. (at least for me atm) Just studied 2.5hr on general postflop concepts but the session of 2.5hr went really well. And after that, I just procrastinate a looot and didn’t even want to get up to write in my journal. That’s why I’m writing the next day in the morning instead of after the poker session.

Today I’m not going to set a high standard mission, but just sticking on playing/studying 2.5hr per day. And doing more little by little day by day…

Look at the graph, all skills, no luck needed. (jk I suck lol)

GL man! Yeah 2.5 hours per day study is a lot, you could try 15 mins per day and go from there.

Hey, Thank you for cheering me up. I think you misunderstood😅, I set myself to study 5hours the day before but I ended up only studying 2.5hr, not 15mins lol, so I want to keep studying 2.5hr every day because I am still not that experienced.

Studied 3hr on BUvBB flop play and reviewing previous’ day hands.

Played 3.5hr and lost just 1BI but I didn’t like a lot of my plays, so today I’m going to do lots of reviews until I come out with a good strategy.

After the grind, went to watch Netflix instead of learning how to code, today I want to go back and learn for at least 1.5hr.

It must feel good doing a bunch of productive stuff.
