    Hey there !

Let me introduce myself real quick. My name is Özcan and I grew up in Germany. I am 32 years of age and played No Limit Holdem for the last 9 years. I never had much success in poker, just played it for fun basically. So your guess is right, I am a losing player probably who wants to learn the game right and become a winning player. The reason why I want to switch to PLO is, it is a completely new game to me, I have no clue what I am doing and I think, that is a good starting point, since I can just absorb everything the mastermind has to offer. I want to become a winning player and want to take poker seriously. I know some people who actually live by just playing poker. I want to become a semi-professional by the end of 2021 and see what 2022 has to offer for me. Currently I am an entrepreneur in a bank in Germany, so I can organize my study, playing time quite well with my working hours. That should give me a small edge towards my learning curve, since I do not have that 9 to 5 job. I really want this to workout and I am extremely motivated to make this a success. Even more after watching the first videos from week 1. So here goes nothing !

    All the best,

    Özcan

Hey Özcan, welcome to the PLO Mastermind!

You’re definitely in a good spot where you’re coming into the game with no background and everything being completely new to you, you won’t have already instilled some ‘bad habits’ and you’re able to just sponge the content and concepts that we are discussing 🙂

What stakes are you planning to start playing? Also what site(s) are you playing on?

Definitely in a beneficial position where you’re able to manage your own schedule and working hours to put focus in on your game.

Good luck and lets get you to that semi-professional level by the end of the year crushing the games!

Look forward to reading your progress as you begin the journey into PLO.

    Ash

Since I do not know too much about this game, I wanted to start at the bottom of stakes and work my way up. So PLO2 or PLO5, but I have not been to the strategy videos yet, so right now, I am just soaking up everything that week 2 has to offer for me 🙂

I am going to update my blog either on a daily basis or every two days, so stay tuned 😀

Today I watched the last videos of week 2 of the 10 week course. I gotta say, it opened my eyes quite a lot. I have been a pretty bad learner when it comes to poker. I definitely have to shift my study to play ratio if I want to have succes. So from today on, I will go ahead and put a lot more work hours and work into studying this game instead of really playing.
