    INTRODUCTION AND VISION:

    Hi guys, my name is Simon and I am a former NLHE tournament poker player since 2008 (I was a winning player at an ABI of about 25€).

    In 2016 I decided to temporarily quit poker to attend a masterclass in Real Estate Finance (because I had an Economic degreee but I had never worked in my field of study and I wanted to try), after which I started working for a big company: it was a complete Nightmare!! Working 10-12 hours a day on something I didn’t really care about, always in a hurry, dealing with people that in most cases I didn’t like, having no time for almost anything, constantly feeling very stressed and exahusted! That was a senseless life for me, even if I could have earned 10.000€ per month, (my salary was far lower !!😄), and I can even hardly understand how millions of people can accept it as “normal’!

    So in March 2019 I decided to quit and come back to poker with a more professional and methodical approach to do it for a living.

    I have been playing PLO mainly for fun as a “side’ game since the beginning of my poker career with a very marginal profit, but I am very passionate about the game and furthermore I think that PLO cash game has less constrainst than tournaments (for example you are not forced to play many hours in the heart of the night), so I decided to take it seriously and quitted MTT to join the fun world of PLO.

    I am currently playing full time, mainly low and mid stakes with a decent profit (PLO 100, PLO 200, taking some rare shot at higher stakes) since June 2020; in September 2020 I Joined PLO Mastermind because I wanted to bring my game to next level: I am studying on a regular basis and I am 110% satisfied with it.

    PURPOSE STATEMENT: I play poker because I think it’s still very profitable, I like the strategical side of the game and it represents a constant challenge for me; above all it allows me to live a life outside of the schemes, giving me also the max. flexibility in terms of time and freedom.

    I would like to study and work on my game on a regular basis in order to improve and try to move up in stakes. I would also like to work on my mindset and on my self-development in general, and I am very glad to see that the importance of all this stuff is deeply discussed and emphatised here on the Mastermind.

    MY MILESTONES:

    -Studying PLO on a regular basis for at least 10-12 hours/week;

    -learn how to use the most effective softwares for PLO analysis ( Monker, Plo trainer, Pokerjuice, PPT);

    -beating PLO 200 at a 7-8bb/100 win rate on a 150-200k hands sample and move up in stakes;

    -playing at least 200.000 hands/year;

    -improving my mindset and spending time also on my self-development;

    -living an active and healty life closer to nature and simple things;

    -travelling all around the world (maybe also to play PLO cash games and tourneys);

    -learning more about financial investments and start investing in stocks and funds;

    -attending a comedy theatre course;

    -purchasing my own house, probably outside of the chaos of the city, with a private backyard.

    Last but not least I would like to thank the whole Plo Mastermind staff (I had the pleasure to have a short talk with Luuk to briefly schedule my personal learning path): you are very kind, helpfull and competent.

    I honestly think that the quality and the amount of materials and tools available here is simply outstanding: we have even more than what we need to be successfull at PLO, it is only up tu us now!

    GL to you all at the poker tables!!
