Hello my name is Robert , I am a 48 Y/O heavy equipment operator in Ohio. Been playing some form of poker most my life I think I won once when I was 12 or 14. About 6 months ago I was introduced to PLO to be honest I was not a fan ” too many cards for my liking at the time ” now however I am finding it to be a great challenge. I lost about 85k in last six months playing so I need intensive training BAM! in comes Fernando with PLO Mastermind.

My goal is to fully understand why I’m doing what I’m doing at the table. I will make it. I see myself becoming disciplined and well studied professional poker player. As I move up in stakes I will also be moving up in age. My overall vision for poker and life is to become wealthy enough to buy a 67 foot catamaran and have my kids come sailing with me throughout the world. Maybe even you my new poker friends will join us on a sail in the Bahamas.

I have just completed week 1. It took me a few days so I will spend the rest of this week training in the sim. and I am gonna watch all this weeks videos again. PS in first five minutes in trainer I found huge issues with my opening range way way too loose.

Hey Robert, welcome to the PLO Mastermind and the community 🙂

Glad to see that you were willing to give PLO another chance after initially not being a fan haha

I hope that we can help you fulfil the vision of owning a 67ft Catamaran, what stakes is it that you’re currently playing if you do not mind me asking?

Glad to see also that you were immediately able to spot some leaks in your game by using the PLO Trainer, how have you been finding the software so far?

Best of luck and I look forward to following along with your progress.

    Ash

@adelaney I’ve been mainly playing PLO 200, But I play games up to 10k buy in . My biggest loss was 52K in one session playing heads up with a complete maniac who by the way calls me daily to play again. I got a plan for his butt this time. He really is not that good but has lots of money . He seemed to pot or at-least raise on any check from me. I will go thru all of PLO mastermind then I’ll be looking for 1 on 1 training.

At the end of week 2. Reviewed all of week one and found that I cant play online on GG poker (looking for small stakes real money online in Ohio) and that I have 0 data to explore as I’ve only played Live PLO for Cash. Working now on understanding the Trainer watched a few of the tutorials. The going is slow as I know realize that I have very little understanding of this game. I will not be playing any live cash games until I figure out what way is up Meaning I must at least get a preflop range set for all positions. Am I correct In doing this?

Learned to create buckets as tutorial outlined. Went thru 50 hands EP fold or raise can’t seem to find what percent right or wrong but I took a pic of my first attempt!
