I currently play 1/2 with $5 bring in, 1/2/5, and 5/5 PLO. I’ve been playing about 15 years on and off (mostly off). I mostly played when online poker was still going, but switched to NL due to being the only game spread near me in a casino. I finally live in a place that has live PLO and have recently gotten back into it. I’ve always been a winning player, but am just not starting to take the game more serious and actually try to make a healthy side income in hopes it can eventually be my full income. Some skills that will help me in this journey is having a high level background in chess and math. I also have the work ethic and will live an unbalanced life (I know you will want to correct that) until I have achieved what I want to achieve. I get completely obsessed with my goals.
My vision is to be able to have multiple homes in the US that I can go to and play Poker in, be able to travel the world and be able to rely on poker as a full time income.
My purpose: I’ve always been extremely competitive and good at games such as card or board games and sports. Now that I’m older poker is a great outlet for me to compete on a daily basis with the reward of money at the end of the competition.
Milestones:
Build a 25k bankroll for just poker
Build a 50k bankroll for just poker
Build 100k+ bankroll for just poker
Have multiple places to live in the US to travel for poker
Live in the Vegas area and play poker full time
Be debt free – outside of mortgage / business / car
Make 5k per month playing poker on average
Make 7.5k per month playing poker on average
Make 10k+ per month playing poker on average
Go on weekly vacations from work to just play poker.
Travel internationally funded by playing poker and play while overseas.
Play in the 5/5 game as winning regular
Play 5/10 as winning regular
Play 10/20 as a winning regular
Open a business funded by poker money

Hey Ken, welcome!
Great goals. Definitely think you might have to live an ‘unbalanced life’ to reach them, but it should bring great satisfaction. Would just say to take care of your health first, without that, the goals will be harder to reach or not worth it. Fortunately, it’s not that hard and bonus, it’ll help you make sharper decisions at the table. Keep us updated and best of luck!
