    Hey hey,

Some of you might know me, some of you surely not, either way this will be my blog where I keep track of my challenge for the rest of 2020. The challenge is to make $50k net winnings starting from this month and ending at the end of the year obviously.

My main game for now is 100z on PS but I have been taking a lot of shots at 200z as well. Unfortunately, I’m running quite below EV there and for the time being I’ll have to stick with my main game until I get to a $10k BR.

The point of this challenge is threefold. Firstly, the $50k is obviously very attractive, but in order for me to achieve it I will have to put some serious volume and I would probably need to have some winnings at 200z as well. With my current wr it’s entirely possible to hit the $50k mark by the end of this year, but it would mean that I would have to play an average of at least 8 hours/day for 5 days/week. That’s where the real challenge lies for me seeing as how I have shown to be a notorious slacker in the past when it came to putting in volume.

We are starting the month of with a little bit of a downswing and we are starting the challenge by having to dig out of a -$2.5k hole. Have been losing flips at 200z, what can u do?

I was gonna post some of my graphs from this year but I can’t seem to figure out how the image upload works on these new forums, so I’ll do that in a next post when I have everything figured out.

    $50k challenge progress 10.07.2020:

Follow up post with my graphs for the month, 100z and 200z.

I was way too cocky with taking shots at 200z with a shallow BR and as you can see, it turned back to slap me in the face. Luckily I have a high wr at 100z so I’m pretty confident that I will recover fast.

4 tabling zoom for 8 hours a day turned out to be a difficult challenge, but I feel like I can still play my Agame for most of the session. I used to play fewer tables and grind no more than 5 hours/day in the past, but I’m at a point now where I want to speed up the process of building a BR and moving up so that’s why I have to push a little bit harder.

I’m taking this month’s downswing very well so far seeing as how I’m not tilted at all. Short term results don’t matter to me at all, what matters to me is that I win in the long term.

Hey guys, thanks for dropping by.

The downswing period continues and I have to admit that the negative emotion is starting to accumulate and I have begun to lose my patience much quicker in comparison to when everything is going smoothly, which is a good indicator that my mental game needs to be improved in some areas. I have also noticed that I have been much more results orientated during this loss period which is yet another mental game leak that I need to fix.

Given the circumstances I think that it’s smart to change up my short term strategy and look to play a little less hours and focus a little bit more on off-table work and mental game work. I have been closely following all the reg tables from 1/2 up until 5/10 and in general it’s mostly the same regulars playing those games with the exception of 5/10 obviously having some regs that wouldn’t play 1/2. But still, there are a few regs at 1/2 that also play 2/5 and 5/10 and I think that it’s entirely possible for me to compete at those levels as well. But in order for that to happen I definitely have to improve some aspects of my game.

Optimistically I would like to grind 6 hours and study 2 hours per day, but realistically I don’t think that’s going to happen in the short term so I will set a more realistic goal of grinding 5 hours and studying 1.5 hours per day and look to build my confidence back up.

Sometimes it’s important to zoom out of your short-term results and frustrations and focus on the big picture. Look at how insignificant this loss period is when you put it in the context of the entire 50k challenge.

GL and remember to fight for what you want

      You’ve got this @betandgrowrich

You know exactly what you need to do, you’ve set the blueprint and you know what you need to focus on!

Keep pushing forward, plugging those mental leaks and there’s no doubt you’ll not only achieve this goal but get to battling with those guys at those stakes you know and we know you have the work ethic and the ability it’s just a couple of things that you’ve pointed out holding you back!

      glgl and keep going!
